Weekly Essentials: Oils for Self Care



Essential oils are made from natural ingredients such as flowers, seems and leaves which can be to the varying types of skin conditions. Since there are so many essential oils that be good for tour skin we listed a few below that will have your skin looking radiant.


These essential oils can be used in a few ways but you can always purchase products that already have them in it. But you can also add the oils to your favorite products or in your bath. Essential oils cannot be used directly on your skin so dilute them with vegetable oil, olive oil, creams or bath gels. Be sure to also do a patch test before hand to make sure you are not allergic to that particular oil.



Definitely my all time favorite essential oil to smell and it’s packed anti aging properties. Rose essential oil is filled with vitamin A and vitamin C antioxidant which regenerates the skin and linked to slowing down the effects of aging.

Rose essential oils also helps to ease menstrual cramps, anxiety, stress and boost sexual desire.







One of the most popular and widely used oils, peppermint is great for your skin because it cools down rashes, reduces heat in your skin and ease pain. Peppermint tea is also great for conditions such as IBS or headaches.



If you have dry skin or eczema Rosemary essential oil added to your skin care routine will help. Rosemary essential oil prevents acne and when used brings the blood to the surface which helps reduce puffiness and dark under eye circles.




This essential oil can be used on all skin types however it’s most beneficial to those that have sensitive skin, acne or dry skin. Essential oils smell great, do not leave your skin looking greasy and balances the moisture level. Lavender essential oil also helps you relax and get a better nights sleep.
